Candoco Dance Company - Your On Mute

Jimmy Power worked with Candoco Dance Company to produce a piece of music inspired by the aspects involved during the lockdown period.

Candoco led a week-long residency with Inspire Youth Arts in Nottingham,  collaborating with SANDance, Square Peg and Next Door Dance. This  specially commissioned project funded by Arts Council England brought 12  local young people together with six Candoco Teaching Artists to co-create a new choreography by Jennifer Irons. The new work entitled  ‘You’re on Mute’ dealt with participants’ experiences of lockdown, and  was performed at the Unify Inclusive Dance Festival at Mansfield Palace  Theatre in May 2022.
